Just last week, we welcomed a group of undergraduate Logistics Management students from UCSI at our warehouse in Port Klang. Puan Norsiah, a lecturer of UCSI, brought the students over for an industrial experience to see how warehouses operate and function as a vital part of the logistics chain.
Multi-Trans’s warehouse manager, Mr. Sin did an official introduction of our company and explained the importance of a warehouse. He also shared his experiences on managing the warehouse, keeping a good inventory of the items, safety aspects of a storage space and how different goods require different types of handling methods.
Mr. Sin then took them on a tour to experience a complete view of our warehouse. It was an eye-opening session for them as it was their first visit to a real, proper warehouse. The visit turned out to be truly educational for them and a very different twist from their normal theoretical lessons in their university.
hough the visit was brief, all of them left our warehouse learning more about real-life applications in the logistics industry. We certainly welcome more visits of such. If you are also from an academic institution and interested to organise a tour, we are more than glad to host it for you.
